St. Albert Smart City Resident Sensor Pilot
As part of a ‘Smart Citizens for Smart Cities Canadian Tour’, the City of St. Albert is partnering with Alberta technology company SensorUp to conduct a Smart City Resident Sensor Pilot.
The pilot involves 25 participants building and then connecting small sensor kits at home that will contribute real-time data on particulate matter in the air. A workshop was held on July 8, 2017 to assist participants to learn about Smart Cities, assemble their sensor, connect it to their home Wi-Fi network, and view their data online.
Winnipeg Open Data Portal for Air Quality
10 Winnipeg citizens joined the Smart Citizens Workshop organized by The City of Winnipeg at the city hall and made their own sensors On August 29th, 2017.
