At SensorUp, we strive to develop excellent developer experiences for SensorThings API developers. We are proud to publish a major update of our SensorThings API Documentation. With the new version of our developer documentation, we hope to make it easier for developers to learn and use the OGC SensorThings API. Below is a list of improvements we made:
- Instant to code: In the old version, the sample code are static with no live sandbox server. Developers need to set up their own sandbox server in order to start coding. In the new version, example responses are retrieved from the SensorUp Scratchpad, a live SensorThings API sandbox server. Developers are able to directly use the sample codes and start coding with SensorThings API.
- Easier to read: We updated the CSS of the API template. The sample codes are colour coded and provide an easier and more pleasant reading experience. Different HTTP VERBs (e.g., GET/POST/DELETE/PATCH) are also colour coded differently
- Latest content: As SensorThings API is evolving, we update the API document to reflect the latest OGC standard specification. The updates include the latest UML Data Model, updated navigationLink, etc.
We hope you will find the new developer documentation useful. In addition, we would love to hear from you. Please feel free to contact us by dropping an email (email@example.com) or simply fill the following contact form. Let us know how can we better empower SensorThings developers.
