We saw great adoptions of the OGC SensorThings API around the world in the past 12 months. SensorThings API has been applied in a very wide range of applications, such as smart cities, next generation first responder, environmental monitoring, drones, smart energy, etc. While SensorUp is developing innovative solutions based on the SensorThings API, we are also working hard on the next part of the standard: Tasking. During the OGC Technical Committee June meeting from June 26~29, Dr. Steve Liang led a group of Internet of Things experts to develop Part II – Tasking of the SensorThings API. We had great progresses and expect to have the first draft for the working group to review in September. If interoperable IoT tasking interests you, we would love to hear from you.
