SensorUp and MiTAC jointly demonstrated SensorUp’s SensorThings Cloud Platform at the Smart Cities Summit & Expo 2017. One of SensorUp’s strategic direction in 2017 is to empower partners in different markets to build IoT and smart cities solutions with open standards. MiTAC is a leading system integrator in Taiwan. We are excited to be invited by MiTAC and became the focus of their exhibition booth at the Smart Cities Summit & Expo 2017. We demonstrated SensorThings Cloud Platform by SensorUp, that is also the OGC Reference Implementation of the OGC SensorThings API.
We also demonstrated the interoperable sensor data sharing among UAVs, smart glasses, air quality sensors, smart light posts, and more. The responses we received were overwhelming and we found many municipalities have already felt the pain of using proprietary solution for each IoT system, which is waste of time, money, and future possibilities. Progressive cities are in fact looking for a cross-domain and common IoT platform. Of course, open standard is a must for such cross-domain common IoT platform. We committed ourselves to support partners and we expect many future exciting projects with MiTAC in the Taiwan region. Great things are already happening. Stay tuned!
